How to prepare
- Hydration is key! Before your massage, aim to drink plenty of water. This helps loosen up your muscles and prepare your body to flush out toxins released during the massage. A good rule of thumb is to drink at least a glass or two of water an hour beforehand.
- Eat Light: Avoid a heavy meal right before your session.
- Be sober: Don’t be under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
- Communication Is Key: Don’t hesitate to let your therapist know about any injuries, medical conditions, or areas of concern you have before and during your massage. This helps them to tailor the massage to your specific needs and ensure a safe and enjoyable experience.
During the treatment
- Always cover yourself with the towel or sheet provided during the treatment, and keep private areas covered by underwear or wear loose comfortable clothing during the Thai Traditional Massage.
- Don’t hesitate to speak up if you feel uncomfortable with the temperature or pressure.
- Relax and breathe deeply. This helps your body release tension and allows the therapist to work their magic.
- Don’t be afraid to speak up. If something feels uncomfortable, let your therapist know. They can adjust the pressure or technique to suit your needs.
- Communication is a two-way street. If there are areas you’d like the therapist to focus on, do not hesitate to mention them.
- Be respectful: always be respectful to our professional therapists and do not show any inappropriate behavior.
After the treatment
- Hydration continues! Drink plenty of water after your massage to help your body flush out toxins.
- Hold off on the shower. Wait for at least an hour before showering to allow the massage oils to penetrate your skin and continue their benefits.
- Give your body a break. Avoid strenuous activity for the rest of the day. Let your body enjoy the relaxed state and soak up the benefits of the massage
- Skip the stimulants. Avoid caffeine and alcohol for a few hours after your massage, as they can interfere with your body’s recovery process.
